Definitions

“Items”, “goods”, “product(s)” means merchandise displayed for sale on the website; “product description” means the part of the website that displays certain characteristics of a product; “we/us” means The London Lighting Co.; “website” means the website located at www.londonlighting.co.uk; “you” means a user of this website.

Orders

Payment

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Maestro, Switch, Solo and Delta. Payment will be taken when you place your order. We will keep you informed of delivery dates.

Delivery and Availability

Delivery is to U.K. Mainland only and excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands.
We aim to deliver stock items within 5 working days and non-stock items within 20 working days. If your order is for multiple items it will be delivered once every item is available. Please check the individual availability of the product/s you have ordered. If your order is likely to take any longer than stated we will contact you.

Delivery is a £25 charge. Delivery is on an overnight service (weekdays) but depending on your location may take longer. We will keep you informed of delivery dates.

The London Lighting Co. is not responsible for any delays in delivery that are beyond our control and will not be responsible for any subsequent loss or expense caused due to a delay in delivery for whatever reason. It is your responsibility to provide sufficient access for delivery of any items ordered.

As part of our order checking and dispatch processes we inspect the goods for damage and defects that should not occur as part of the manufacturing process. If goods are received with visibly damaged packaging or it appears that goods have been opened in transit, then it is advisable to examine the contents whilst in the presence of the delivery driver. In the unfortunate event that goods are received damaged then it is essential that we are notified within 48hrs of receipt, otherwise claims cannot be upheld.

We will package goods for delivery in a way that is entirely at our discretion and are not obliged to comply with any packaging requests or instructions from you.

Pricing

We aim to ensure that all prices listed on our website are up to date and current at all times. However we automatically verify our prices as part of our order checking and dispatch processes and in the event that the current price is higher than our stated price, we will contact you to discuss this. We do however reserve the right to withdraw the product from sale at the incorrect price and cancel your order. All prices include VAT at the current rate.

Description of Products

All dimensions and colours are checked against manufacturers information. Colour representation is approximate due to the variances of web browsers and monitors.

Cancellation and Amendments

To cancel or amend an order you must contact us by phone within 4hrs of placing the order on 020 7589 3612 during office hours 9.30 – 6.00 (or by emailing us at info@londonlighting.co.uk if outside these times).

Contract

Order acceptance and the completion of the transaction between you and The London Lighting Co. will take place on the despatch of the products ordered by you, unless we have notified you that we cannot process your order or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions above. Reasons for being unable to process your order may be as a result of one of the following:

• The product you ordered being unavailable from stock
• Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
• The identification of a pricing or product description error
• Your not meeting the eligibility to order criteria set out below

If there are any problems with your order, you will be contacted by a sales advisor.

We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time. We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure but, in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.

Contract Cancellation/Returns Policy

Please note that you are entitled to cancel this contract if you so wish provided you exercise your right by giving written notice of your cancellation no longer than seven working days after the day on which you receive the products. The goods will be collected from you by our shipping agents. You must take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession and must not use them prior to them being collected by our shipping agents. Any goods must be returned in the original packaging and in the condition in which you received them. You will be reimbursed for the price you paid for the goods less the cost of delivering (£25) and collecting (£25) the cancelled goods even when payment for delivery was not originally charged to you, but instead borne by us on the understanding that the goods were not being returned. This will be done within 30 days of them being received back by us in their original condition and packaging, unused.

Description of Products

Each product purchased is sold subject to its product description. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the website as up to date as possible, the information, including product descriptions, appearing on this website at a particular time may not always reflect the position at the exact moment you place an order.

Payment

All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered less any discount plus delivery (if a charge is applicable). You confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

Refusal of Transaction and Eligibility to Purchase

We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this website. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from this Website whether or not that product has been sold; removing or editing any materials or content on the Website; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

To be eligible to purchase products on this website and lawfully enter into and form contracts on this website under English law you must:

• Register by providing your real name, phone number, e-mail address, payment details and other requested information
• Be over 18 years of age
• Stipulate a delivery address in the United Kingdom. Please note that PO Box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses are not acceptable
• Possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us.

By making an offer to buy a product, you specifically authorise us to transmit information (including any updated information) or to obtain information about you from third parties from time to time, including but not limited to, your debit or credit card number or credit reports, to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit card, to obtain an initial credit card authorisation and to authorise individual purchase transactions.

Licence

We permit you to print and download extracts from this website for your own personal use. However, you may not print and download extracts or use this website for the purposes of advertising, to sell goods to a third party, to generate revenue or for any other personal gain.
